PLOT :
Two years after the Battle of Sokovia, Thor was unable to find the Infinity Stone and is now imprisoned by an angry demon in Muspelheim Mushroom. Surtur revealed that Thor's father, Odin, was no longer in Asgard, and that the kingdom would soon be destroyed in the predicted Ragnarök, as soon as Surtur reunited his crown with a burning eternal fire in Odin's vault. Thor defeats Surtur and claims his crown, believing that he has prevented Ragnark.
Thor returns to Asgard to find his brother Loki disguised as Odin. Thor forces Loki to help him find his father, and with Stephen Strange's instructions on Earth, they find Odin in Norway. Odin explains that he is dying and that his death will allow his eldest son, Hela, to escape from a prison that has been sealed for a long time. Hela has been the head of the Asgard army, and has conquered the Nine Kingdom with Odin, but has been imprisoned and written out of history after Odin fears that he has become too ambitious. Odin later died, and Hela, freed from his imprisonment, appeared. He destroys Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, and when Thor and Loki try to escape from the Bifröst bridge, he chases them and forces them to go into space to die. Hela arrives at Asgard, destroys his army and kills the Warriors Three; revived the ancient dead who quarreled with him, including the giant Fenris of wolves; and named the Asgardian Skarge as his algojonya. He plans to use Bifröst to expand the kingdom of Asgard, but Heimdall secretly steals the sword that controls the bridge, and hides with other Asgards.
Thor landed in Sakaar, a junk planet surrounded by wormholes. He was captured by a bounty hunter named Scrapper 142, and was brought to serve as a gladiator to the ruler of the planet, the Grand Master, with which Loki had become humiliated. Thor acknowledged 142 as one of the Valkyriors, the legendary strength of the murdered female warrior defending Asgard from Hela for a long time. Thor is obliged to participate in the Grand Master Champions Competition, against his old friend Hulk. Calling the Lightning, Thor almost defeated the Hulk but the Grand Master sabotaged the struggle to get the Hulk victory. Always enslaved, Thor tries to convince Hulk and 142 to help him save Asgard, but no one wants to. He soon manages to escape from the palace and finds the Quinjet that brings the Hulk to Sakaar. Hulk follows Thor in Quinjet, where the recording of Natasha Romanoff turns him into Bruce Banner for the first time since Sokovia.
The Grand Master instructs Loki and Thor to find Thor and Hulk, but both men are struck by blows and Loki forces him to revive the death of his compatriot Valkyrie at the hands of Hela. Deciding to help Thor, he brings Loki captive to prove his good will. Not wanting to miss, Loki gave the group the means to steal one of the Grand Master ships. They then release another gladiator led by Korg and Miek, initiating a revolution. Loki tries to betray his brother to get a gift from the Grand Master, but Thor anticipates this and leaves it behind him, where Korg and the gladiator find it soon. Thor, Banner, and 142 escaped through the wormhole at Asgard, where Hela's forces attacked Heimdall and the Asgards. The banners became Hulk again, Fighter Fighter, while Thor and 142 faced Skurge and the resurrected fighters. Loki and gladiators came to help, and board members boarded their large ships; A repentant Skurge sacrificed himself to let their escape. Thor, facing Hela, loses his eyes and then has Odin's vision that helps him realize that Ragnarök can stop Hela. While Hela is disturbed, Loki puts the crown of Surtur and places him in the Flame Abadi. Surtur was reborn and destroyed Asgard, apparently killing Hela.
Thor and others fled with other Asgards on board the Grand Master. Thor, now king, decides to take his people to Earth. In the middle of the credit scene, they were intercepted by a large spacecraft. In the post-generic scene, the Grand Master meets with a group of previous subjects, who are still rebellious.
